Himiway has only provided two models of electric bicycles for a long time (if stride and stride are calculated, there are three technically), but the times are changing, and the company's electric bicycle lineup is also changing. These three new models have also undergone a number of new upgrades, such as better motors and better brakes.

The Himiway Zebra is the company's first new model. Compared with the existing Himiway Cruiser we have seen before, it is equipped with fat tires with more forest road bike settings.

The new electric bicycle includes a large 48V and 20Ah battery with a capacity of 960Wh. The battery is integrated in the frame, eliminating the eyes that expose the battery.

Himiway's claimed range is 60-80 miles (100-130 kilometers), which sounds a bit high from where I sit. Easy pedal assist riding using a pedal assist sensor based on cadence may come close to this point, but the throttle will definitely burn the battery faster.

Even if the range requirement is a bit high, this is still much larger than the battery we see on an average electric bike in this class.

The bicycle uses a newer motor, an improvement over the hub motor in the previous Himiway electric bicycle, which has better heat resistance and is said to provide a longer service life. The 750-watt electric motor outputs 86 Nm of torque, ready to use right out of the box, pushing the bike to a maximum speed of 20 mph (32 km/h). In the past, the speed of Himiway electric bicycles could be increased by about 50%, but it is not clear whether the new models will follow suit.

Compared with past Himiway electric bicycles, other improvements include hydraulic disc brakes, brighter lights, improved suspension forks and more comfortable saddles.

The bike is available in white or black and striding or striding frames. Priced at $1,999, it seems that Himiway may try to compete with some higher-end electric fat tire bicycles, such as the RadRover 6 Plus that has recently entered the market.

Himiway's new cargo electric bicycle is called Big Dog, although it does not adopt the super long tail form that we often associate with large cargo electric bicycles.

Instead, it looks more like a practical electric bike with multiple large rear rack options.

The electronics sound similar to the Himiway Zebra above, which means a new 750W hub motor, 48V 20Ah 960Wh integrated battery and a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h). Hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lighting, and 7-speed Shimano transmission are also inherited from Zebra.

The rear frame appears to have a beautiful wooden platform, which has become a symbol of Himiway's electric bicycles in the past.

The Big Dog also has a rated load of up to 400 pounds (186 kg), which is much larger than most electric bicycles and can be matched with some of the heaviest trucks.

The price of Big Dog is $2,099, which is hundreds of dollars higher than many practical electric bikes on the market, but it does offer some better upgrades compared to more budget-level options.

Last but not least are two full suspension fat tire electric bicycles.

Himiway Cobra uses a similar 750W hub motor, while Cobra Pro chose the Bafang M620 mid-drive motor. Intermediate drives happen to be one of the most powerful options on the market, and are known for providing crazy performance, breaking the chain, or sometimes both.

Both models use a four-bar rear suspension and offer black/gray snakeskin or forest camouflage patterns that look like carbon fiber.

They include similar large 960Wh batteries with a rated range of up to 80 miles (130 kilometers).

Cobra and Cobra Pro are rated up to 28 mph (45 km/h). Himiway even includes a cute little speed statement, claiming that "For the American market, Himiway Cobra has a top speed of about 28 mph, no pedal required, which is absolutely legal." Well, kind of. In some places. But usually you need to use pedal assist to legally reach 28 mph, at least in Class 3 states.

Himiway Cobra is priced at US$2,399, while the high-performance mid-mounted Cobra Pro is priced higher at US$3,999.

Himiway has been plagued by claims related to customer service issues, and many companies are dealing with similar issues at this time. Himiway now offers a two-year warranty for the frame, battery and non-consumable components, which may be the company's way to alleviate these concerns.
