Electric bicycle exports from Taiwan to the UK soared by 66%, and the US soared by 69%

The export data of electric bicycles submitted by the Taiwan Bicycle Association to CI.N shows that compared with the data captured from January to September, shipments from East Asian islands to the UK have increased by 65.89% year-on-year.

Taiwan and Europe continue to benefit from regulations that hinder the export of electric bicycles from neighboring China, and have recently enjoyed a slack. The latest data shows that the value of the United Kingdom's dollar ($) rose 83.9% year-on-year to reach 23,554,234 million U.S. dollars.

In the context of broader European trade, export growth is particularly prominent, second only to Italy's 150% year-on-year growth in imports and Germany's 78.8% growth.

As of 2021, the UK has imported 11,350 vehicles from Taiwan, up from 6,842 in 2020. The average export price of electric bicycles rose 10% to US$1,063.

Trends in Europe, North American Free Trade Agreement and RoW electric bicycles

Keep the totals in Europe and North American Free Trade Agreements. In terms of quantity, the combined data increased by 20.96% and 54.1% respectively.

The export trade volume of electric bicycles from Taiwan to Europe was US$520,562,109, an increase of 28%, while the export trade volume of North America was US$304,430,109, an increase of 64.1%, mainly driven by a 68.9% increase in US orders. The country purchased 204,073 units in the nine months ending in September.

Electric bicycle exports to Australia increased by 22% in other places; 161% to China; 34.2% to Japan; 54% to Israel; 64% to Russia and 2% to New Zealand.

In terms of high average trends per unit, some of the most expensive electric bicycles are exported to Ireland, Mexico, Canada, France and Greece.
