India Bike Week 2021: Honda CB300R BS6 unveiled in 2022, launched in January-Automotive News

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched the 2022 Honda CB300R sports cafe racer in compliance with the BS6 standard at the Indian Bike Week in Aamby Valley, with an updated power system, new features and subtle appearance changes to maintain the two The freshness of the wheeler market. Honda CB300R is scheduled to be launched in January 2022, initially sold in India until April 2020, until the new emission standards come into effect. The 2022 Honda CB300R will be manufactured in India. Unlike the BS4 model, the BS4 model is imported as a completely dismantled unit and sold for 240,000 rupees.

The 2022 Honda CB300R remains basically unchanged, but is equipped with a new golden inverted fork and a radiator fairing at the front. Compared with the earlier brushed aluminum finish, the radiator fairing now has a deeper brushed alloy. The round headlights are LED lights, the fuel tank is lengthened, and the chiseled design is used to accommodate knee space, while the light-colored radiator fairing adds some breath to the retro bicycle. The taillights are equipped with a neat set of LEDs, split seats and thick high-angle exhaust pipes, and the appearance is very high-end. The exhaust pipe adopts a new design, and draws inspiration from the old Honda brothers, with a new brushed copper finish.

New features of the 2022 Honda CB300R include a dashboard with a new full LCD display, new gear indicator, gear shift warning and side brackets. The 2022 Honda CB300R sits on a new steel tube diamond frame with a 41mm dollar front fork and 7-level adjustable rear suspension, with a performance-oriented setting. The front and rear dimensions of the 17-inch Michelin Pilot Street tires are 110 mm and 150 mm, respectively, while braking is managed by a 296 mm front disc with 4-piston calipers and a 220 mm rear disc with 2-piston calipers. The dual-channel ABS and the inertial measurement unit (IMU) detect the tilt angle together to provide the best braking.

The new BSVI engine on the 2022 Honda CB300R is 286cc, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, and has 30bhp and 27.5Nm of peak torque. Added auxiliary and slip clutches to help shift gears more easily and reduce shocks to improve the riding experience. The 2022 Honda CB300R is available in two colors-Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red. Local assembly will mean lower prices and a better basis for competition with the KTM Duke 390 and BMW G 310 R, which are priced at 280,000 rupees and 260,000 rupees, respectively.
