The Ibis Oso is a new electric mountain bike available in four sizes, from small to extra-large. The pedelec is the company’s first to feature an upper-link suspension dw-link platform, with 155 mm rear travel and 170 mm front travel Fox 38 suspension fork as standard; you can up this to 170 mm at the front and 190 mm at the back if you wish. The bicycle is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, providing up to 85 Nm of torque. A removable 750 Wh battery is fitted to the larger eMTBs, while a 625 Wh version is used on the small model. You can fully recharge the battery in six hours or reach 50% in two hours. Ibis has not provided an estimated top assistance speed or range for the bike.

The large and extra-large Oso models have Maxxis Minion 29-in x 2.5-in tires, while the small and medium versions have the same front tire with a smaller 27.5 x 2.5-in rear tire. Plus, the bicycle is equipped with Shimano 4-piston brakes with 220 mm rotors and Lupine lights with up to 900 lumens brightness. On the three larger variants, a Bosch Kiox 300 display and an LED remote are added to the pedelec.

The Oso has a full-carbon-fiber frame keeping it lightweight, with the large size weighing 53 lbs (~24 lbs) overall. The bicycle was designed partly in the Metaverse, with the VR experience helping the engineers to iron out flaws before manufacturing. The Ibis Oso e-bike is available for US$10,999 in Forest Service Green or Storm Blue.
