Man seriously injured as electric bike is stolen in early hours Bowers Gifford collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery where a man’s electric bike was taken after he was in collision with a car in Bowers Gifford at around 2am today (September 24).

The victim, in his 20s, was in London Road travelling towards Pitsea when the incident happened. He suffered serious injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital.

A man, who had his face covered, is reported to have got out of a silver Ford Focus car, threatened the victim and told him not to move before taking his bike.

The car, driven by a second man who is described as having blond hair, drove off towards Pitsea.
