Let’s all take a ride in the Tour de France way-back machine to a decade ago when, like this weekend’s opening stage in Copenhagen, Le Tour once again kicked-off with a time-trial. While disc brakes rule today, 2012 was when integrated (and gasp under-the-chainstay) brakes best illustrated all things aero.
I originally posted this gallery when I was in France in 2012 and just for added historical context, I added an even earlier version of “throwback tech” from the 2010 Tour de France.
